OUR CERTIFICATION & AUDIT PROCESS

STEP 1

CONTACT

a) Your journey to full compliance starts with an email, call or inquiry through our website.
b) The vendor will be contacted by a HIC Canada representative within 5 business days to set up a meeting.

STEP 2

Evaluation and Assessment

a) An HIC Canada representative will meet with the vendor to review the terms of the contract, HIC Canada protocols, and answer any questions/concerns.
b) Once the vendor is content, the HIC Canada representative will review sources of meat, ingredients of all foods & condiments, and do a inspection of the facility with the management.
c) Our religious experts will review your case and discuss halal conformity of your products. Their knowledge in Islamic jurisprudence and religious laws helps you become certified. This is when the final verdict on your halal certification status occurs.

STEP 3

On-site Audit & Contract Agreement

a) Once the vendor complies with all necessary changes, the HIC Canada representative will conduct a final thorough inspection.
b) The vendor will sign the contract once they pass the inspections.

STEP 4

Issuance of Halal Certification

The HIC CANADA certificate will be issued.

STEP 5

ONGOING-AUDITS

HIC Canada regular inspections will begin immediately as defined in the protocols and strict adherence to HIC Canada standards will be upheld.
